Luda and T-Pain Make "One More Drink"...

...the VIDEO of course.

"I'm a Drinker and a Dater... this is my story"

Leave it up to Luda and T-Pain to create romantic lyrics eh...

I can't help it though. This song is hilarious, starting out with Luda's lyrics of "It was Friday night and I was feeling aight..." with T-Pain and his ridiculous top hats dancing in the background. I always find a lot of hip hop has humor to it, and this is a prime example. I tend to be a "gangsta" myself... meaning I parade around at the clubs with bling around my neck, spewing out every lyric to every song, crip walk a little and throw some 'bos... sort of like what what goes down in this video.

But seriously. I LOVE this song. The beat is sick and the video is hilarious (it usually is when Luda and T-Pain are involved). Ch-ch-check it out!

You might be able to see me dancing around in the background of this video....

(I wish).

"Nelly's Night in Vegas" is Gettin Hot in Herre!

It's been a looooooon time since we've heard the "Hot in Herre" rapper Nelly surf the radio waves. No wonder though, he's getting his own TV series!

Nelly is jumping on the bandwagon with the reality TV phenomenon with his own creation of "Nelly's Night in Vegas". 25/7 Production Reports:

"NELLY’S NIGHT IN VEGAS will be an ongoing wild, high stakes party where you can bet on anything and probably everything happening. The show promises to reflect the full spectrum of the Vegas life with an endless supply of inspiration and content for Nelly and his spectrum of sidekicks, beautiful women and entourage. His private jet and red carpet lifestyle will add to the weekly excitement as will his interviews with film, television and music’s biggest stars"

There is no set date as to when the show will be launched, but I will definitely be waiting for that due date.

What do YOU think of Nelly starting his own TV show?

"Dead and Gone" Video Makes JT and T.I. Unhappy Campers

Although there is a lot of death-like imagery and cemeteries in this video (hence "Dead and Gone"), it does seem to evoke a lot of emotion and poignancy of remembrance, a little different from the "If I talk [crap] to you, would you talk it back to me too?" lyrics from their earlier "If I" single.

The video kind of a takes a more grim turn when the words "good", "evil" and "redemption" flash across the screen, the background turns black and JT is standing in front of his burning piano ("Jesus Walks" anyone?). The video even ends with T.I. in the dark, walking by a electric and barbed wire fence of what seems to be a jail....

Happy viewing everyone!

Beyonce Electrifies the Oscar Stage

If Beyonce's looking to audition for a musical theatre role, this one should do the trick.

I unfortunately missed this musical theatre performance with Beyonce singing many musical hits, but I did manage to here about her impressive show on World Star Hip Hop. Singing a range of songs from Mamma Mia to Grease to The Sound of Music, Beyonce was spectacular. Not only was I impressed with Hugh Jackman's role alongside Beyonce (and inserting Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens into the show for a minute or two), but I was even more impressed with Beyonce to pull this off! She really is the definition of what it means to be a triple threat!

CD Sales Climb After Rihanna Assault

According to Hip Hop Crunch, Rihanna's latest CD "Good Girl Gone Bad" has been increasingly removed from the shelves in response to Chris Brown's alleged assault on Rihanna. I wonder, though, if this has something to do wither either supporting Rihanna or people are curious about Chris Brown's statement of "discovering her true colours" and may find some secrets hidden within her lyrics.

What surprises me, however, are some of the conversations I've been hearing. I was in Chapters the other day and I overheard some women talking about "What did Rihanna do to provoke Chris Brown to do this?". EXCUSE ME?! What century are we living in?! It saddens me that some women out there still put the blame on other women (and themselves) into justifying an aggressive man's actions. Whatever the case may be, this poor girl needs a break, son!

Cudi Brings Out "Day 'N Nite"

It's been a few months now since Kid Cudi's release of "Day 'N Nite" hit radio waves in the summer, but we're finally seeing the visuals for it. This is not the Crookers Remixf the song, but this is Kudi's original make. Gowhere Hip Hop has posted the video of Kudi's original "Day 'N Nite" video. The visuals and computer drawings that seem to turn real people into monsters are kinda random (like I'm about to enter a video game or something...), but I would call it more of an artistic creation than anything else. I say it's pretty dope though!

Snoop's Back in The Dog House!

Snoop Doggy Dogg is coming out with Dogg After Dark, a variety show hosted by Snoop himself. The show consists of interviews, sketch comedy acts, musical performances and features of Snoop's band. Hopefully Snoop's new show will be able to top his short-lived sketch comedy series titled "Doggy Fizzle Televizzle"... at least "Dogg After Dark" is a cooler name...

Below you can view behind-the-scenes clip of Dogg After Dark featuring "Day 'N Night" star Kid Cudi, which premiered last night at 9 p.m. EST on MTV.

John Legend and Juanes Perform at 2009 NBA All-Star Game Halftime

The sensual song-writer John Legend and Columbian rock musician Juanes performed live at the 2009 NBA All-Star Game for "If You're Out There" this Valentine's Day, February 14. John Legend never ceases to amaze me and this was one of the very few times I've seen Juanes sing, but there's really nothing like a latin singer (WINK). I think this song ALMOST topped the slam-dunk winner Nate Robinson who made one hell of a jump over Dwight Howard... what a jump eh?!

P. Diddy on Crime Time Television... and the New James Bond??

Sean "P. Diddy" Combs is said to be playing a prosecutor on CSI: Miami. The Crime Scene Investigation episode titled "Presumed Guilty" will be airing TONIGHT on CBS at 10 pm ET. If Mr. Combs is talented enough to make his name well-known in the music industry, reality television and the movie industry, I'm sure he'll be representin' well the television world!

And speaking of acting.... apparently P. Diddy also wants to try his luck as the new James Bond. Below is P. Diddy's audition tape that he sent to Bond executives! I can definitely see how P. Diddy looks the part of some suave, undercover, world-saving bachelor, but I'm not 100% on the faking-it part. I guess I'll have to see how he does with tonight's episode on CSI!

And The Award For The "Most Awkward Moment on Television" Goes To...

The last time I cringed this much in utter embarrassment was when I peed my pants as a kid during a school play. (ok... I'm exaggerating a little but you get the point).

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO JOAQUIN PHOENIX?! I give David Letterman a standing ovation for dealing with what looked like the most awkward moment in television history.

Let me give you a play-by-play of what went down:

1. Joaquin Pheonix walks on stage looking like a neanderthal (or maybe trying out the old Brad Pitt look?), hiding behind a pair of dark shades.
2. Appears DRUGGED (either that or he is just dazed and confused).
3. Is short with Letterman or simply refused to answer his questions.
4. Comments that Letterman has been "gassing his audience with nitrogen" for laughing too much.
5. Does not know who is in his OWN MOVIE ("True Lovers" with Gwyneth Paltrow) nor does he know what clip Letterman is showing.
6. Proceeds to become "nervous" and spits his gum out only to stick it under Letterman's desk.
7. States he is leaving his acting career for the HIP HOP MUSIC INDUSTRY... YES I KNOW
8. Abruptly leaves stage after the interview.

I seriously have to hand it to Letterman though. He was trying to make jokes with Joaquin left, right and centre, but Joaquin just seemed to out of it. Letterman even went on to say "Well, sorry Joaquin you couldn't be hear tonight", only to receive one smile from Joaquin and a statement of "Haha... you're funny". Charming lad, really.

But let me just comment on one thing. JOAQUIN PHOENIX ENTERING THE HIP HOP WORLD?! ... wait WHAT?! I first heard of this hilarious news on That's What She Said, but didn't really believe until I saw his crazy antics on David Letterman.

Take a look at the interview here... and yes that IS Joaquin Pheonix... you may just recognize him...

5 Reasons Why I Loved The 2009 Grammy's

1. M.I.A.
2. T.I.
3. Jay-Z
4. Lil Wayne
5. Kanye West

Having 5 of my all-time favourite rap artists on the same stage is INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE!

Topping my list for the 2009 Grammy's performance (for me), was definitely the "Swagger Like Us" quintuple show with Lil Wayne, M.I.A., Jay-Z, T.I. and Kanye West! I still give a lot of props to Jennifer Hudson who probably gave the performance of her life (and yes I did shed a little tear for her, especially after the murder of her family members).

But MAN, how sick was it to see that quintuple performance?! I especially thought it to be hilarious that M.I.A. was about to pop her baby right on that stage and was quite nervous for her when Kate Beckinsale later came out to announce that M.I.A. was due THAT NIGHT.... now THAT would have been one hell of a show!

Chris Brown Did WHAT?!

Chris Brown is in big trouble not only with his girlfriend, but with the law. Brown was reportedly showing aggressive behaviour towards girlfriend Rihanna this past Sunday before the Grammy's. This just seems a little weird and a little random.

The couple were said to be seen arguing outside of Brown's car, which escalated to physical violence exerted on Rihanna, leaving the soulful reggae and R&B singer with visible facial bruises and injuries.

And I really like(d) Chris Brown! I'm not sure what will be happening to the "With You" singer, but he will definitely be questioned with some possible jail time. And poor Rihanna! What a great way to start off the day and prepare for the Grammy's... a physical fight with your boyfriend, resorting in a cancellation of a performance at the Grammy's.

If everything is in fact all true in the news, then tsk tsk... shame on you Chris!

Guess Who's Back... Back Again?!

Shady's back - tell a friend!

EMINEM IS BACK ... with a new song! I don't know if there's a dance to go along with the song (as Soulja Boi had with "Crank That"), but I think this song tops the "YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" Soulja Boi lyrics any day. Also featuring "Crank a Bottle" is Dr. Dre and the I-got-shot-9-times Mr. FIDDY CENT. It's a pretty cool collaboration, but you can decide on whether the song is cool for cranking YOUR bottle!

Get Your Chill on With Bobby Valentino

If you're looking for a song to relax to (and if you got someone you're going with steady with), then kick back and relax to this sensual tune. Bobby Valentino's recent release of "Just Me and You" is the epitome of chill. This is a great song too to get you ready for the spring break coming up next week. The song flows over the smooth sound waves with a slow bass, low background trumpets and Bobby's smooth voice chiming in "Don't worry this, don't worry 'bout that, don't worry 'bout nothing". Man, if only I was on a beach in sunny Miami with a pina colada in my hand...

Solange Isn't as Fierce as Sasha...

Solange Knowles, the little sister of the diva herself Beyonce Knowles, is starting to weave her way back into the music industry. After a rough start when the world found out that she got pregnant at 19 and decided to have a quick marriage in the Bahamas, Solange is trying to revive her image. She succeeded with a cameo in Bow Wow's "Puppy Love" video. Solange has now recorded a cover of Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida”, but it seems as though she’s trying to be like her older sister but just not getting there. Her voice isn’t as spectacular as Beyonce’s (nor are who random arm-flailing movements… whatever that was). But I guess I need to cut her a some slack too. She’s trying to make it out on her own instead of following the lead of her celebrity sister. So, in that case, the more power to her!

Britney to Cancel Circus?

I hope not!

Britney is considering canceling her Circus Tour if she her two sons Jayden and Sean Preston cannot accompany her in March. Britney said she is willing to pay Kevin Federline $4,000, set up several homes in New Orleans, New Jersey and Los Angeles for her children to stay while she is on tour and visit them in between shows, as well as set up accommodation for her hubby K-Fed. I feel bad that Brit Brit is so desperate to keep her kids near her and it seems as though K-Fed is milking this so well in his favor to a) get more money, b) get his former 'career' back on track or c) both a) and b)!

Where did Rihanna go?

I haven't heard of or seen Rihanna recently splashed across Entertainment Tonight, nor hearing her sweet Baysian voice on the radio. Just today, however, I cam across "Where do we go" by Rizah featuring Rihanna on Gowhere Hip Hop. The song is pretty chill and the mix between Rizah's and Rihanna's voices makes for a sweet, harmonious and melodic R&B tune. Check it out for yourself!
