This Boy This Girl
...aka Miley Cyrus and Iyaz! I think this is either her best or second best song release (next to Party in the U.S.A.). It's definitely another step away from the innocent Hannah Montana character she plays on Disney. I like!

Who's That Chick
Yes, it seems to me that Rihanna has been riding the 'house' trend and has been hanging out a lot with French DJ David Guetta. But who's to blame? At the rate that she is producing these awesome dance tracks, it's no longer that she's stuck on the house train! "Who's That Chick" is yet another great song after "Only Girl" to dance to!
Chris Brown Brings Back "Yeah x3"
Chris Brown is BACK in action... and this time he brought David Guetta along to help him.
It's kinda bittersweet; I mean with everything that went down with him and Rihanna, he clearly has had a hard time with a comeback. Maybe this song will do it? It's actually a great song to groove to, but will that be enough to win his fans (and the rest of the music world back)? Tell me what you think!

Kanye West: Here's a Toast & Power
"Let’s have a toast for the douchebags
Let’s have a toast for the assholes
Let’s have a toast for the scumbags
Every one of them that I know
Let’s have a toast for the jerkoffs that never take work off
Baby I got a plan, run away as fast as you can”
"Here's a Toast" is kind of a weird song, but I guess Kanye West wanted to show the world that he can make fun of himself? The beat of the song is definitely a different one, but I think I dig it... I think. At least he can raise a toast to himself... he would be selfish like that. OK OK I'm sorry that was mean, but I thought I should stick up for Taylor Swift...
I DO, however, like his song "Power," although it at times reminds me of "Jesus Walks." I think he shows off his genius in this song, which kind of takes you away from all of the sh*t that has surrounded him for a while. I guess it's like a Chris Brown case: can we just listen to his music anymore without thinking about the b.s. that he may have said or done?

Video of the Year at VMAs
Lady Gaga takes home not one, but TWO VMAs this past Sunday for Best Pop Video of the Year and Best Female Video for "Bad Romance"! Gaga also revealed (among her numerous wardrobe changes, ranging from Alexander McQueen and, ahem... a dress made out of meat...), that her new album to be released is titled "Born this Way" and even sang a little snippet of her new single... geez that girl can sing!
Best New Artist at VMAs
And our little Canadian takes the cake! Justin Bieber won the Best New Artist award at the VMAs on Sunday night! So proud :) And I am so happy I am going to school in the U.S.A. now since I got the chance to vote for him!
Best Hip Hop Video at VMA
Eminem wins the award for Best Hip Hop Video at the VMAs Sunday night for his hit single "Not Afraid". Mr. Slim Shady had a stellar performance of his song, followed by his duet with a red-haired Rihanna for "Love the Way you Lie." He also beat out Jigga's (aka Jay's) "On to the Next One", which I guess wasn't that popular, but I still love him more than Eminem... as of now. Oh well, congrats Eminem! I think you deserved it this round... and I hope to see you get as good as you were in your Encore days!

Just a Dream
The Country Grammar king is BACK with a brand new track y'all!
Nelly has just come out with a hot new single titled "Just a Dream" and it's off the hizzle for shizzle. He's more sentimental than his usual hit song ("Hot in Herre" anyone?). I've got a feeling that this song is gonna be playing on a lot of radio stations in the near future... check it!

Only Girl in the World
I love the non-emo-I-love-dance-and-house Rihanna!
Now THIS is a great song to have fun too! It brings Rihanna (and me) back to her (our) "Please Don't Stop the Music" days. Besides "Rude Boy", this has got to be the best song on her new album "Last Girl on Earth" album. It makes me just want to run to the clubs and get CRAZY!

Britney Spears "Radiance" Perfume Commerical
Just like her weekly E News Hollywood stories, Britney's commercials are getting weirder and weirder.
I mean, I love the girl, but a fortune teller asking her to tell her future and Britney merely replies "No thanks, I choose my own destiny"? Super original. I think now this is Britney's fourth perfume, and how I hope it is more successful in getting people to buy the perfume instead of getting the attention of their target audience with this sub-par commercial!
(Sorry Brit Brit, I still love you!!)
T.I. in Jail... AGAIN!?
Quite the appropriate picture, eh?
Yup, the "Whatever you like" rapper T.I. is getting thrown back in jail just after his recent release for having drugs and weapon charges. Now he's being dragged back to court for possession of marijuana (and his wife) who were smoking it in his car. His bail was worth $10,000, but he will appear in court on Friday. I guess it's no more stacks on deck and Patron on ice for you, buckwheat!

Did it Again
(No, this is not a Britney Spears remix!)
And I know this "Did it Again" is a year old, but I just stumbled upon it recently and forgot how much I liked the vid! Shakira does this playful ballet/contemporary dance... on a bed! The choreography is amazing and both dancers do a great job at expressing the back-and-forth movements between girl and boy. Oh yeah and Kid Cudi is in it too so it makes it even better!

Ay Chico!
So it's been quite a while for me since I got bouncing around in da club, and since I'm going out tonight for a friend's birthday, I thought I would share with you one of the songs I'll be requesting tonight (and especially since I came back from a hilarious hip hop class last night!) ;) I LOVE this song by Pitbull... and particularly this video where the old dudes are singing "Todo el Mundo en la Lengua Fuera" ("everybody in the world with the language") and "Dale que tu puede" (give it to them, you can") LOL... I apologize for my lack of proper translation and choppy English!

We Run L.A.
Alright, so this is an oldie (and by the definition of "oldie" I mean it's over a year old), but I recently just saw Amanda Bynes on Twitter (aka "Chicky") tweet this, so I thought I would share with you all and give the low-down on what she's listening to... I guess :). I've actually never heard of this song before (and neither the artist Ya Boy & Dr. Hollywood), but I dig it!! WORD.

Cooler Than Me
Never heard of this kid before, but Mike Posner is a pretty cool (note the pun) guy. Although it takes a while to get to the good stuff (aka a minute plus until the video kicks in), but it's a pretty chill song and video!

It's Alright
Pitbull has come out with yet another one his party songs and has collaborated with reggae artist Machel Montano to make it that much better! This song is not too different from the usually Pitbull sounds (aka "Calle Ocho" slash "I Know You Want Me," "Now You See It,"... you catch my drift), but he does know how to create a great dance song!

Airplanes
Alright, so I think we've all heard this song "Airplanes" by B.O.B. featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore. I feel as though this song (like many!) has been playing on repeat on the radio this summer and deserves a little love here.
Hold Yuh
I've never heard of this dude before, but Gyptian knows how to vibe! "Hold Yuh" is a mix of RnB and reggae that makes for a great summer chillz song!
And of course we got the Nicki Minaj remix for yuh!
It's in the Mornin
DAMN this video is sexy!!
Robin Thicke has done it again.... but this time has added Snoop Doggy Dog to the mix! I don't know how he does it, but Robin sure knows how to make a woman smile EVERY SINGLE TIME! This video reminds me a little of his sensuous "Lost Without You" video starring wife Paul Patton... but Snoop Dogg's scenes don't seem to be that...um... sexy?
Just one random thought... this might sound a little creepy but I thought in the beginning of this video that the girl in the bed was Vanessa Hudgens! Is it me, or can anyone else see the resemblance?!

Your Love
Nicki Minaj is starting to make a name for herself! After her debut in "Bedrock" with Young Money, Lil Wayne and Lloyd (what a great combo, eh?!) - who by the way, sounds very different from when I first heard her - has collaborated also with Sean Kingston and now is coming out with her own stuff. And I gotta say, me like!
Check out "Your Love" below (with the original beat from Annie Lennox's "No More I Love Yous"):
And I found this Sean Paul remix of this song... let me know what you think!
Letting Go
Dutty dutty dutty oh!
I think this is one of Sean Kingston's top songs to date, and Nicki Minaj adds enough spice to make it that much better. Although it does sound a little like RiRi's "Te Amo", c'mon, you gotta admit that it's a good song, no?
There's no official music video for it yet, so sorry for the lack of visual appeal :-P
Waving Flag
And just to go along with the World Cup theme here...
K'naan (the Canadian!... and Somalian!) came out with "Wave Your Flag" for FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa.
And here's the Will.i.am and David Guetta version...
And in the spirit of Spain's win, I give you the Spanish version featuring David Bisbal as well :-) FORCA ESPANA!

Waka Waka Wha?
WAKA WAKA EH EH!
Shakira came out with this fun song with African beats for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa (hence the lyrics "This time for Africa!"). She looks GORGEOUS (as always!) in this music video and shows off her dance moves and fun spirit. And lucky girl though... Gerard Piqué, the Spanish socc - ahem, football defence-man (aka hottie with a body!) makes a cameo on this one... *sigh*
Alors on Danse
So, I was in Europe a few weeks ago, you know, livin' it up Ja Rule style, and Stromae's "Alors on Danse" was playing EVERYWHERE. And what a great song this is! Especially if you're like me who can shake her booty to any beat! (The song translates to "So we dance" in case you were wondering!). Click HERE for the lyrics and the translation in case you wanna know what he's saying :)
One Life Stand
The summer has been bringing out a lot of house music and artists seem to have been catching on! "One Life Stand" by Longo and Wainwright featuring Craig Smart is yet another great hit to jam to in the club... if that's what you're looking for!
DJ's Got Us Falling in Love Again
Dynamite
Well looky here! Another one of Taio Cruz'ssongs makes the list! I do like this song more than "Break your Heart"... maybe because I like to throw my hands up in the air sometimes and say "AYO" when I rock the club.... sorry was that too corny?
Break Your Heart
Find Your Love
Holler to the Canadian! Woot Woot!
Actually, to be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of Drake (although he was pretty good in his Degrassi days!), but I love this song (and the video!). Doesn't the beat and his voice sound a little like Kanye's "Love Lockdown" in the beginning though? Have a listen...

Love The Way You Lie
Maybe Eminem had an influence on Rihanna's hard-coreness?
Who knows, but I'm glad Eminem seems to be back to his old angst self! I love this rap (cuz I'm also hard-core like that....) and it sounds like something that could have come out of his Slim Shady album. In the words of Borat - "I like."
Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan are featured in the video who pretend to be boyfriend and girlfriend. The video delivers a strong message about domestic violence and sends out a powerful message to all (including you Chris Brown!). It seems fitting that Rihanna and Eminem are singing this song...

Te Amo
I am LOVIN' Rihanna's slow RnB beats!
"Te Amo" is one of Rihanna's sexier songs... and she even experiments with a chick in this videos! It has a sultry spanish taste to it, and she seems to really be getting into her R-rated side... and definitely a step further than her Pon de Replay days!
I'm not sure if I'm feeling this whole "look at me I'm hard core" phase Rihanna seems to be going through. OK we get it - you like rock songs, your hair cut super short like a boy's, making out with chicks and looking like your the female version of a hustler (DIVA!). We get that you THINK you're hard core. I love Rihanna when she came out as so sweet and innocent with a cool Caribbean vibe, and now her songs are just getting too mainstream for me... although "Te Amo" and "Rude Boy" do have a hint of exotic flavour to them!
What do you think?
Gaga for Gaga!
Seriously - I love this woman!
I think on Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" album, "Alejandro," "Monster," and "So Happy I Could Die" could be the best songs on this CD. I had to put all of them under one post because I love them all! Check them out below and you'll see why!

Your Love is My Drug
You know Ke$ha comes out with a song when either the word "drug" or "whiskey" and at some point "JD" is mentioned in a song. This girl definitely knows how to party (maybe a little too hard?).
California Girls
"Greetings loved ones! Let's take a journey."
LOL Snoop Dogg cracks me up.
I think this is a pretty obvious one - not because it's the cover pic of this post.. but I don't think anyone has gone a day without hearing this song on the radio. It's fun and flirty and just a down right great summer tune to blast in your car with the top down... you know what I'm sayin'?
Hot N Fun
N.E.R.D. is back... And they're bringing Nelly Furtado with them!
It's about time we heard from both of them. This video is just as it reads - Hot N Fun. There's a lot of hippies in this video (pretty hippies at that), campfires, guitars, old school cars and parties that remind me of Austin's celebration of Eeyore's Birthday (yes, this actually exists)... and then you add N.E.R.D. to the mix and it makes the video that much more interesting.
Hello, Good Morning
Gawd I love Diddy. Don't you just love that grill? ...
But this time, we get to see THREE grills! That's right. P. Diddy teamed up with Rick Ross and is-he-outta-jail-yet? T.I.
You know, I met P. Diddy once in Miami, and he went out of his way to come and shake my hand and ask me "How ya doinnnn." And he's actually like 6 ft. 5 or something ridiculously tall. But I've loved him even more after that little encounter ;-)
LET'S WORK PEOPLE!
Benassi & Kelis Get High
ON A SPACESHIP.... not THAT kind of high... SHEESH!
Kelis has been getting her house on lately, after "Acapella" with David Guetta and now her collaboration with Benny Bennassi on "Spaceship." It's a great song and I think Kelis fits the bill when it comes to trance and house. What do you think?

50 Cent Barely Recognizable for New Movie Role
I think he scares me more than he already did before!
Fiddy (aka 50 Cent) lost 55 lbs to play a football players diagnosed with cancer in his up and coming movie "Things Fall Apart." Now, probably most of you are wondering how he did it. Well, he definitely didn't take the healthy route. Instead, he went on a liquid diet and ran on the treadmill three times a day.... sounds like fun.... eek!

O.M.G.
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh O.M.G.! Usher has teamed up with Black Eyed Peas's Will.i.am in his new single "O.M.G.". The video reminds me a little of "Yeah" at the beginning, and I'm not sure how I'm feeling about the random hand movements/interpretive dance Usher is doing, but the song is decent. Also, it's so not Usher's style to mention "Honey's got boobies (?!) like wow oh wow"... really Usher, really? I'm not a huge fan of the video itself (what with Usher flying in certain instances), and just when you think we're about to see some of Usher's awesome dance moves, he maybe pulls one or two cool MJ moves and then quits when the girls hit the stage. I still think Usher can do better, but maybe this is just his warmup? I hope so!

"Daisy Dukes, Bikinis on Top"
What a great summer song! Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg (YES, SNOOP DOGG!) came together to make this upbeat "California Girls" song - a great tune for those sunny days and driving with the drop top down ;) It does remind me a little of Jessica Simpson's "Public Affair", but I think is a better song (sorry Jess!). Check out the making of "California Girls" and the behind-the-scenes with Katy Perry and Snoop da loop right HERE.

Jay-Z's "Forever Young"
"So we livin' life like a video..."
Jay-Z - my man! He did it again... H.O.V.! I'm also lovin' his black and white videos. The song adds a great beat to the old hit "Forever Young" by Alphaville with a little bit of Mr. Hudson blended into the mix. Jay-Z is seriously brilliant!
Here's the original Alphaville make:
Eminem's "Recovery"
So last night driving home I turned on the radio to hear Eminem's new song from his Recovery album titled "Not Afraid." You gotta hand it to him... he even makes fun of his Relapse album, so at least he can laugh at himself.
For me though, I feel he for some reason can't get back to his old, hard-core angst stuff with dirty rhymes and rhythms.... I feel his beats are hopping on the typical Akon pop beats and his rhymes aren't as strong as they used to be (especially on his second album).

Snoop Dogg... and SUSAN BOYLE?!
Yeah you heard me... (I know - I can't believe it myself!).
Apparently Snoop da Loop is appearing on Susan Boyle's album with the song is titled "Ain't Nobody Doing it Like Her".
Here's a little interview with Snoop Dogg on Chelsea Lately. This should be interesting.....
Airplanes
B.O.B. and Eminem are BACK!
B.O.B. (whose album releases April 27th), has teamed up with Eminem and Hayley Williams in "Airplanes". I've never heard of Williams but she sings an awesome chorus. I've liked B.O.B. since his song with Amy Whinehouse "Grip Yo Body" (UH-mazing song), but lately, every time I hear Eminem, he sounds like he is about to pop a cap in someone's ass. Is that just me?
Here it is homies!

Ain't Nothin' Like a Brooklyn Girl
Never heard this up-town boy, but Charles Hamilton is da bomb dot com.
The beat kinda takes some flavours from Kanye West's usual beats (with the high-pitched, fast-forwarded girl voice mashed with a sick hip-hop/RnB beat) - and this mix seems to work well for him!

Lady Gaga's "Alejandro"
Omg... I'm in LOVE with this song!
Gaga has got it goin' on! I still think she should have won that grammy for record of the year... (congrats though Taylor Swift!).
Alejandro is a slower song (than what we're used to form Gaga's fast dance beats), and has the rhythm of Paparazzi (with a hint of Spanish). Me gusta ;)
One hit after the other, I'm sure Lady Gaga will get the next win ;)
*Best Memories*
Another David Guetta collabo... I swear - he's taking over the EARTH!
The coolest Kid Cudi is now on this new track called "Best Memories" with world-famous DJ David Guetta. I think Guetta is just climbing the charts lately... and I can definitely see this song gettin y'all buck wild in da club (that's right... I said Y'ALL!)
David Guetta Mania
"People in the plaaaaaaaaaace, if you ever felt loooooooooove....."
I mean, ok, it does sound like a mix of "Boom Boom Pow" vs. "Now That the Love is Gone" at some moments, but I do think it's one of David Guetta's better remixes.
Fergie, Chris Willis and LMFAO collaborate on this track with David Guetta to make this the new hit party track (I'm anticipating anyway). Imma Party!
